Standards checks with ERS candidates
Question: Jez Tromans (VideoBiker) asking question on behalf of Mark Stevens, Lightning Motorcycle Training (Oxford) – “Can Enhanced Rider Scheme instructors who are undergoing a DVSA standards check insist they are assessed with an ERS student, rather than being standards checked whilst teaching Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)?”
Answer: Hi Mark, thanks for the question. If you are an ERS Instructor, then yes, you can insist on a standards check taking place whilst delivering ERS training. The DVSA don’t have a problem with this. In fact, we would encourage you to do this if you are signed up to the Enhanced Rider Scheme register.

Resources for ERS instructors & ATB's
The Enhanced Rider Scheme (ERS) resources and information on this page are from a DVSA webinar that was run in association with VideoBiker on the 12th July 2018. The content of this ERS webinar (and this page) is aimed at motorcycle training schools (ATB’s) and motorcycle instructors.
