VideoBiker is on the pad!
Thank you!
We are at an exciting point with VideoBiker and felt it important to update the many people who have supported us this last 24 months. Just to consider that two years have passed – from initial ideas until today is note worthy. VideoBiker has been a zero budget labour of love and it would not have been possible to reach this point without the practical, active and patient support of you all. Thank you! We know that some folk have been wondering if the project had stalled. That is far from the case and a core team has been steadily moving things ever forward. For a handful of us, all bridges have long since been burned and our mission of helping more riders to ‘keep it on the black stuff’ has not lost a beat.
At last years Motorcycle Live and Expo (last week), we gained further important commercial links and are now actively supported by 15 respected companies. Alongside this, significant progress has been made with industry stake holders and we have relationships ratified with three key charities. All such commercial, charitable and industry relationships have been sought on the basis of their contribution or relevance to motorcycle safety. You will see evidence of these evolving relationships on VideoBiker as we begin to actively market the benefits of membership from February on wards.

Keep it on the black stuff
VideoBiker is already the UK’s most comprehensive professional online motorcycle training resource. 100’s of riders have helped with beta testing and whilst their feedback is allowing us to shape the next round of filming, we are encouraged by the over riding positive bias of what these riders are saying about VideoBiker. Some of their testimonials are captured here and review data is here.
We are 100% moving in the right direction and already, the evidence is that VideoBiker helps novice riders to complete CBT and to pass their motorcycle test. More importantly, using VideoBiker alongside practical instruction, results in greater confidence, less novice rider anxiety, a greatly enhanced training experience, improved hazard awareness and significantly improved skills. We are also seeing evidence that VideoBiker members are more open to investing in ongoing motorcycle training and are more aware that taking personal responsibility is the most effective way to keep it on the black stuff.
Riders can open a ‘free membership‘ and are doing so in increasing numbers throughout the UK. This basic free membership gives access to four comprehensive motorcycle training audio guides (CBT, MOD1, MOD2 and Advanced), along with an entry in the VideoBiker prize draw and access to a growing number of member offers. Instructors are requesting access, which is offered unrestricted and completely free-of-charge, such that VideoBiker is immediately available as a useful motorcycle training aid. The prize draw has yet to be formally announced, but we are excited to share that prizes include two brand new motorcycles and a further £6000 worth of prizes. We will formally acknowledge the companies who have contributed in February. At the appropriate time the site will be commercialised – at which point, site users will have the opportunity to upgrade their membership by joining one of the VideoBiker academies.
On behalf of VideoBiker, thank you to all who have helped us reach this important milestone. You know who you are and we are extremely grateful to everyone who has helped, supported and continued to encourage our efforts. Please join us in raising a ‘road safe cuppa’ to helping more riders to keep it on the black stuff. We are finally on the pad and launch is imminent.
